We place one foot in front of the other over and over again. Little by little we move forward.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">We do the same emotionally. Whether we feel <a href=\"https:\/\/dianaderringer.com\/on-top-of-the-world\">on top of the world <\/a>or in the deepest depression, we keep going, one step at a time. Faced with <a href=\"https:\/\/dianaderringer.com\/hard-row-to-hoe\">a hard row to hoe<\/a>,\u00a0 we do what we need to do now. Then we take the next step.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Good teachers guide us one step at a time. If we move too fast or change the order, we often fail. If we take our time and follow directions, we usually succeed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I rarely make New Year resolutions. If I did, I think this would make a good one. For this year, I want to take:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One step at a time<\/li>\n<li>One day at a time<\/li>\n<li>One task at a time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This one thing I know: Whether our journey fills us with joy or sorrow, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jy-aVrTpC2s\">we never have to walk alone<\/a>. If we invite Him, God will walk with us every step of the way.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cEven though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me\u201d (Psalm 23:4 NIV).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">What New Year resolution have you made?
